In an effort to A. hit my blog post goal for 2015 and B. keep myself accountable to various other goals, I'm committing to a brief weekly recap here of the following things!
This week… [It is FREEZING here!!!]
The spending freeze was only a challenge because of my suddenly insatiable appetite. As this baby grows, I continually need more food than I think I do. Will for sure adapt after the big grocery shop this week!
The best money I chose to spend, was $0.90 difference after an exchange for a scarf I have wanted for three years. I had some items I had been waiting to return until I found something I loved, and that was it! And to be honest, I have had change sitting in my wallet for weeks, so it's entirely possible that ninety cents was actually made pre-freeze, hehe. And also, $30 on lavender essential oil - to help me sleep, to massage my belly and help prevent stretch marks, and to help healing after delivery. Triple hit + how long it will last = definitely worth the investment.
The least helpful use of money, was the sprinkle doughnut I inhaled after a long shift and too little food. Whoops.
The most nourishing meal I ate this week a lettuce-less tuna and veggie salad that I took with me to work - I always forget how much I love that meal, and it is one of the easiest things to prepare.
Instead of watching TV shows on my laptop - lets be real. I am LOST in the depths of pretty little liars, and have watched more than my fair share of episodes. However, I tried to multi-task, and spent several episodes either prepping baby food, washing dishes, or working on orders - so not a total wash!
A blog post I loved was Permission to Cry via Coffee + Crumbs. A gentle reminder as I prep myself for the changes yet to come.
Finally, I was most grateful for our little guy acting like his normal, rambunctious, ravenous toddler again. Nathan and I had almost forgotten how much FUN he is! And his vocabulary? amazing.
How was your week, lovelies?
